As part of a series of activities in Pakistan, the Centre for Computational Science and Mathematical Modelling (CSM) have developed a full-time Masters Placement Programme targeted at Masters Students at our partner universities in Pakistan.
The aim of the placements is to provide an opportunity for Masters Students from the Pakistan Universities to experience undertaking research in the UK alongside a supervisor from Coventry University.
Candidates for the placement programme must fulfil the following eligibility requirements;
- Candidates should be projected to achieve a cGPA of minimum 3.50/4.00 in their Masters (currently being undertaken at a partner university in Pakistan).
- Candidates should have an undergraduate degree obtained with minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant subject area, with a minimum 60% mark in the project element (if applicable).
- Candidates should have a good level of English Language, and broadly in line with Coventry University postgraduate research degree regulations, for an overall IELTS academic score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component.
Academic Programme Outline:
- Placement of up to 3-months as part of a Masters Programme at a Pakistan home University.
- The expected outcomes are in line with the requirements of the student’s home university programme.
- Initial shortlisting is performed by the Pakistan Programme Coordinator (see below for a table showing who is the coordinator for your university).
- We ask all candidates to undergo a programming skills test with the project supervisor.
- The final step is a short interview with the project supervisor.
If you are a prospective supervisor, please see supervisor notes.
We aim to make this programme as inclusive as possible and therefore attempt to fund some of the costs for the student. For details about what costs are covered, please contact our admin team (see below).
